La Fiesta de Brendan!

This past weekend we had Brendan's Birthday Party. It was a lot of fun, and Bren was so cute! It is amazing watching him grow and learn... there is something new every day. He is walking more and more. He is trying to talk, I LOVE his little language. He says something that sounds like "Amen" quite a bit. That is mixed in with a lot of Mamamama, and Dadadada. Once in a while there is a "Doggy". When music is on he kind of sings. That totally melts my heart. I think bath time is one of his favorite time of day. He splashes, squeals, and plays with his toys as long as you'll let him. Yogurt is probably his favorite food, anything like bread or Gerber crunchies are close seconds. Squishy food seem to gross him out... he doesn't like to pick it up and would rather have it fed to him. Today we made the full switch to cow's milk... so that means that I have more free time on my hands! Sleep has been the one area I would like to see some serious improvement. He goes to sleep really well at night, but he is still waking up around 3am for a bottle or some cuddle. His naps are less than perfect, but we are getting there! Brendan is so much fun. It is always a joy to be with him. Pretty much every little thing he does makes me smile. We are truly blessed!

So now for some pictures from the party!

We had carrot cupcakes... and they were yummy! It is hard to tell from this picture, but there is a Noah's Ark candle on Brendan's... and I gave out extras as party favors.

Bren's attention span lasted for all of about 2 gifts, but don't worry... Jordan and I had fun opening the rest... and playing with everything :) Now Bren is breaking everything in. I think his favorite was a Little People school house that Ruth, Gordon, and Parker got him.
Brendan enjoyed the frosting, as long as I was willing to help him get it to his mouth. He did a little better with the plain carrot cake.

I knew he'd like the wee people, Parker LOVES those guys! (yeah still haha) We'll have to come over someday soon so Parker can play with him and the gift...he was quite unwilling to give it up at one point until he grasped the idea that Brendan was getting it. Love you guys!!!
